Grinding and drying equipment like coarse powder mill, Raymond mill, ultrafine mill, vertical mill is widely used to process bentonite clay in the bentonite grinding system.

The grinding system can produce sodium base bentonite and calcium bentonite powder from bentonite clay.

In the processing plants, bentonite is dried in a long cylinder called a rotary dryer, and then is processed into either a fine powder or granulated into a small particle or flake with grinding mills.

In coarse grinding process, 15 - 25 % > 63 μm for foundry fine grinds; in fineness grinding process, 1 % > 45 μm for food, filler, paper; calcium bentonite powder from the grinding system has about 35% < 0.5μm.
