Coal & coke pulverizing process

In coal preparation plant, firstly raw coal go through screen process, coal gangue is screened out. The next stage is coal preparation. It includes crushing, screening, Jigging, slime water treatment, dewatering.

Coal pulverizing process is the important process and also the first step in coal preparation plant. Coal pulverizer is used for crushing coal into small granule.

In coal pulverizing process, coal usually is crushed into small particles less than 13 mm or 6 mm. According to the granularity of crushed coal, pulverizing is devided into coarse crushing process (50 mm), medium crushing (25-6 mm), fine crushing (6-1 mm), and grinding (less than 1 mm).

In Coal & coke pulverizing system, there are two types: open system and closed circuit crushing system.

In coal open pulverizing system, there are no demands about the granularity of crushed coal. In closed circuit pulverizing system, vibrating screen is the screening machine used for screening out the eligible crushed coal, while the unsuitable crushed coal return to the system for crushing again.

Coal & coke processing machine

In coal preparation plant, coal processing equipment is the main machine. Coal processing equipments includes coal pulverizer, coal washing machine, jigger etc.

There are several types of coal pulverizer used in coal & coke pulverizing system.

Jaw crusher for coal & coke crushing: Jaw crusher is the primary coal & coke crushing machine. It crush coal by fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate, and mainly used for crushing raw coal with more gangue in medium, or small scale coal pulverizing system.

Toothed roll crusher: in coal preparation plant, there are two types of it: one-toothed roll crusher and bi-toothed roll crusher. Energy consumption of it is small, but it can not crush hard bulk material.

Hammer crusher for coal pulverizing: Hammer crusher is also important coal pulverizer. It is mainly used in fine crushing process, and has advantages as follows:

1. large crushing radio.
2. small energy consumprion.
3. large crushing capacity.

Impact crusher is widely used coal pulverizer. It can use in every coal pulverizing process, and has benefits as follows:

1. high efficiency of crushing
2. low power consumption, Large capacity, and uniform granules.

But it also has unadvantages such as:

1. hammer heads is easy to wear down faster
2. large number of dust
